Pictures Talk: Four / by Francisco Graciano

In response to an article in the Huffnington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jean-davidson/american-dance-companies-models_b_1797659.html), I felt it necessary to give some added voice to the dance community.

Why do I feel that sometimes the life of a dancer is about proving that we have a valuable gift to contribute to our society?  The sheer vulnerability, work ethic, and dedication we give to our fine art is no less (and possibly greater) than a professional athlete's yet our compensation and validity in society is taken for granted.  Come on world!  This is the stuff that nourishes your soul.
