The Met. Also known as 'my church'. Walking through these halls you can feel the presence of human greatness. The miracles and holiness of the universe are revealed in these halls. This is where I feel the potentiality of connecting to the "Other", and in so doing every living thing. The sense of awe that one experiences here is all too familiar to a religious person. So what can art do from here?

This hall has a specific overwhelming presence when you consider what an ancient civilization accomplished. Like a church cathedral this hall, home to The Temple of Dendur, was designed to inspire a sense of wonder and heighten the senses to leave us open for the beauty that surrounds us. And surely to crack the surface of all the beauty inside of us also.
