Congratulations to the stellar cast of Fibers this weekend who brought this incredible dance back to life after nearly 60 years! Initially there were problems due to costumes that were unaccounted for and a set in ruins. We had help from our brilliant and detail-driven wardrobe mistress, Clarion Overmoyer who rebuilt the costumes from scratch guided only by a sixty year old sketch. And of course without the incomparable and always virtuosic Santo Loquasto who re-designed the set, and Jennifer Tipton, the Goddess of lighting for dance, this revival would never have been so successful. None of this would be possible however if Paul Taylor hadn't made a masterful work of art in the first place. Thanks for sharing your gifts Boss.
In case you were wondering - yes, Fibers will be performed at Lincoln Center during our three week season in March 2014. Stay tuned for ticketing and scheduling information.
